Professional Profile - Boltwood, Russell L. - Of Counsel

Mr. Boltwood is a corporate and transactional attorney with extensive experience in counseling emerging companies,
with a particular emphasis on international legal practice.  Prior to joining Dillingham and Murphy, Mr. Boltwood
was both Vice President of Licensing and General Counsel for UTStarcom, a telecommunications equipment and technology firm based in Alameda, California.  While at UTStarcom, Mr. Boltwood oversaw worldwide legal affairs
for the company, including its successful IPO in 2000, its expansion into numerous international markets, and its acquisition of several competing technology firms.   Mr. Boltwood’s professional experience also includes practice
as a general civil litigator.

Corporate, Commercial and Venture Finance Transactions – managing, drafting and negotiating numerous transactions related to venture financing, commercial trade, intellectual property licensing, and corporate mergers and acquisitions.
Intellectual Property Licensing and Management – advising clients on intellectual property asset management and monetization strategies.
International Legal Practice – assisting clients with transnational legal/business strategies and planning, with particular emphasis on issues relating to emerging economies.
Employment Counseling – advising clients in regard to employment law and personnel policy practices.
Litigation Oversight and Management – assisting clients with management of complex litigation.
